Massel's Marine is looking for a Full Time Marine Technician.
If you have a passion for service excellence, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, are a team player and have mechanical experience in the marine field this might be the job for you.
We operate small, family owned marine dealership that is open year round.
Duties include:
Diagnosing and repairing outboards/inboards.
Installing and repairing electronics on boats.
Installing accessories on boats.
Repairing and maintaining fuel systems.
Inspecting and maintaining boat trailers.
Performing warranty repairs.
Performing maintenance to marina equipment.
Assisting with maintaining a clean environment at the dealership.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner.
Assist with maintaining an organized shop.
Assist in maintaining the marinas vehicles- trucks, trailers, forklifts.
Maintain time records on work orders.
Ability to use a computer for electrical diagnostic software systems.
Ability to trailer boats and watercraft safely.
Being accountable for your actions.
Willing to work outdoors and around water.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
Must be a team player.
Qualifications:
Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and successfully repair.
Minimum 2 years work experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of small equipment, both gasoline type engines.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with accuracy and speed.
Work effectively & cooperatively with fellow employees.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing about repairs.
Ability to maintain written equipment maintenance records.
Minimum basic knowledge of marine motors.
Wages will be based on knowledge, work experience and certifications.
Requirements:
Valid drivers license G or higher
Pleasure Craft Operators Card
Tools & toolbox
Ability to perform heavy lifting
Attending technical training courses when available to improve proficiency and quality of work
Assets
Mercury/Mercruiser Certification
Marine Experience
Forklift Certification
Experience at trailering boats
